DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has appointed Hu Jianguo to its board of directors following the resignation of Tang Yong, whose departure took effect Tuesday. Yong will remain with the company as board adviser, ensuring leadership continuity.
Hu joins the board and will serve on the nomination, compensation, and executive committees. His appointment underscores DigiPlus’ focus on strengthening its technology leadership and expanding internationally.
A seasoned software engineer and business leader with more than 20 years of experience, Hu previously played a key role in DigiPlus’ transformation from a land-based gaming operator in the Philippines into a technology-driven digital entertainment company.
He was instrumental in launching and scaling BingoPlus into the country’s leading digital bingo platform and expanding it into a broader entertainment ecosystem. The company credited him with driving modernization efforts and embedding a culture of innovation across its platforms.
DigiPlus said Hu’s expertise in platform development, gaming operations, and player-focused strategy will support its next phase of growth, particularly as it seeks to enter regulated international markets while strengthening product innovation and responsible gaming standards.
Hu holds a master’s degree in software engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China and previously held a senior technical role at Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.
