GoTyme Bank has become the top issuer of Visa debit cards in the Philippines, making it the most used Visa debit card in the country.
The fast-growing digital bank now has more than 8 million Visa debit card users nationwide. In 2025, its debit card payment volume grew by over 150 percent compared to the previous year—well above industry averages. The bank also reported more than ₱43 billion in customer deposits, showing rising trust and everyday use among Filipinos.
Visa recognized GoTyme Bank for posting the highest growth in debit payment volume, active debit cards, and contactless transactions among local issuers. The bank was also among the first in the Philippines to launch Google Wallet and Google Pay for its customers, making tap-to-pay transactions easier in stores and abroad.
Bank officials said the milestone reflects growing customer confidence in simple, secure digital banking. Visa added that the partnership supports efforts to promote a more digital, cash-lite economy in the country.
The achievement builds on a multi-year partnership signed in 2025 to expand digital payment services across parts of Asia and Africa. Under the deal, Visa will support GoTyme Bank’s expansion through enhanced card programs, marketing support, and improved digital infrastructure.
For consumers, the partnership means wider access to secure debit payments, easier contactless and mobile wallet transactions, and more convenient banking services through GoTyme’s app and nationwide kiosks.
