LG launches nationwide hunt for oldest working aircon

LG Electronics Philippines has launched a nationwide search for the country’s oldest still-working LG residential air conditioner, aiming to highlight the durability and long-term performance of its products.

The “LG Oldest Air Conditioner Hunt Promo,” which runs from January 22 to March 31, 2026, invites Filipino households to share stories of their aging but still functional LG units. According to managing director Nakhyun Seong, the campaign celebrates families who have relied on LG air conditioners for years and underscores the brand’s promise of delivering lasting cooling comfort.

The promo is open to adult residents of the Philippines who own an operational LG residential air conditioner with a verifiable serial or model number. To join, participants must post a public video on social media showing the unit in working condition and complete an online registration.

Entries will be judged based largely on the unit’s age, functionality, and the participant’s story. Winners will receive brand-new LG split-type air conditioners. Full details are available on LG Philippines’ official social media pages.
