ABS-CBN signs first India streaming deal with Amazon MX Player

ABS-CBN has secured its first syndication agreement in India through a multi-title deal with Amazon MX Player. This marks the first time Filipino drama series will be available on the platform.

Under the agreement, seven ABS-CBN shows — including It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, 2 Good 2 Be True, Can’t Buy Me Love, Senior High, Love in 40 Days, and both seasons of He’s Into Her — will stream starting in 2026.

The deal signals ABS-CBN’s entry into India’s fast-growing streaming market. Amazon MX Player is one of the country’s largest free ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) platforms, with more than 250 million monthly users. Industry data shows that most streaming in India is driven by free, ad-supported services.

The Filipino titles will be the first of their kind on the platform, which already features Chinese, Korean, Turkish, and Thai content. The series will be dubbed in Hindi and possibly other Indian languages.

The agreement was finalized by ABS-CBN’s International Sales Division as part of its broader push across South and Southeast Asia. The company has sold over 50,000 hours of content to more than 50 countries, continuing to expand the global reach of Filipino programming.
