With pump prices climbing past P100 per liter, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is accelerating its shift toward electrified mobility, positioning hybrids and battery electric vehicles as practical alternatives for cost-conscious motorists.
Under its “Go Beyond Zero” campaign, TMP will stage a public showcase from March 25 to 29 at Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa City. The display will feature the all-new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), the Urban Cruiser Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and the bZ4X BEV—giving consumers hands-on access to the brand’s latest electrified offerings.
The rollout comes as rising fuel costs and economic pressures reshape buying decisions, with automakers racing to highlight efficiency and lower operating expenses.
“Toyota is committed to answering the different needs of our customers,” said Elijah Marcial, TMP first vice president for vehicle sales operations. He said the new models reflect Toyota’s “multi-pathway” strategy, offering a range of electrified options tailored to varying mobility needs.
Visitors can test drive the Urban Cruiser BEV and bZ4X, view live charging demonstrations, and register for RAV4 HEV test drives via participating dealerships. Educational exhibits tracing Toyota’s electrification technologies will also be on display.
The RAV4 HEV pairs fuel efficiency with performance through a dual electric motor system and all-wheel-drive capability. Meanwhile, the Urban Cruiser BEV targets urban commuters, offering a range of up to 475 kilometers on a single charge.
As fuel prices squeeze household budgets, TMP’s expanded lineup underscores a broader industry pivot toward cost-efficient and lower-emission transport in the Philippines.
