PhilRice provided 4.42 million bags of high-yielding, climate-resilient rice seeds under the RCEF program for the 2025 wet and 2026 dry seasons, reaching over 119,000 farmers.
The agency also expanded technology training through demonstration sites, fertilizer guidance in 22 provinces, and 173 variety trial sites to promote modern farming practices. Despite funding delays, P4.1M supported farmer education, including advanced courses and field schools.
RCEF, funded by rice import tariffs, allocates P10B yearly for mechanization, seeds, training, and credit to help local farmers.
