SEC extends deadline for 2025 financial statements

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has extended the deadline for filing annual financial statements for 2025, following a similar move by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier moved the deadline for filing annual income tax returns from April 15 to May 15.

Under the revised schedule, corporations now have until June 15 to submit their audited financial statements, instead of the original May 29 deadline. Brokers and dealers are required to file SEC Form 52-AR, along with their financial statements, by May 15, which replaces the previous April 30 deadline. Meanwhile, companies with securities listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), as well as those registered but not listed, must submit their annual reports with financial statements by May 15 instead of April 15.

The SEC also reminded all covered corporations to ensure that their audited financial statements are duly received by the BIR in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
