BDO Unibank and Mastercard marked 20 years of partnership focused on helping overseas Filipinos send money home and stay financially connected with their families.
The collaboration has reached more than 4 million Filipinos abroad through remittance and payment services designed to be faster, safer, and easier to access. By combining BDO’s remittance network with Mastercard’s global payment system, the two companies expanded financial services for Filipinos in different countries.
Mastercard Philippines country manager Jason Crasto said the partnership has played a major role in serving overseas Filipinos and will continue to grow in the coming years.
Millions of BDO ATM cards with the Mastercard logo are now used locally and internationally for remittances, purchases, and other daily transactions.
BDO remittance head Genie Gloria said the partnership is centered on helping Filipinos abroad support their families more conveniently and securely.
Both companies also announced plans to introduce more digital innovations in 2026 aimed at improving security, convenience, and accessibility for cross-border transactions. The long-running partnership highlights the growing importance of digital financial services for overseas Filipino workers and their families. Faster and safer remittance systems help millions of Filipinos manage daily expenses, education, healthcare, and savings despite living and working in different countries.
