GAC expands dealership network with six new sites

GAC Philippines is widening its presence in the country with six new dealerships, underscoring its confidence in the Philippine automotive market even as competition intensifies among Chinese and other Asian vehicle brands.

The company said new dealerships will open in Alabang, Bacoor, Las Piñas, Marikina, Subic and Zamboanga, increasing its nationwide network to more than 30 locations across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The expansion was formalized during a ceremonial signing held alongside the launch of GAC’s new MPV Family at Makati Shangri-La on July 29, bringing six established automotive dealer groups into the brand’s growing retail network.

The wider footprint is expected to improve access not only to GAC’s expanding lineup of vehicles but also to genuine spare parts and aftersales services, areas that have become increasingly important as more consumers weigh long-term ownership costs alongside purchase prices.

“The rapid expansion of our dealer network reflects our deep commitment to the Philippine market and our strong confidence in its growth,” said Calvin Cheng, general manager of GAC Philippines.

“By partnering with experienced automotive groups across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, we are building a robust retail network focused on long-term, mutual success and ensuring our customers receive exceptional support at every touchpoint,” he added.

The dealership rollout complements GAC’s broader strategy of introducing more hybrid and electrified models while strengthening nationwide customer support. As the local auto industry shifts toward electrification, manufacturers are increasingly competing not only through new products but also through the quality and reach of their retail and service networks.

To reinforce customer confidence, GAC continues to invest in its aftersales capabilities through a dedicated parts warehouse and an expanded service network. The company offers warranties of up to five years or 150,000 kilometers for internal combustion engine vehicles, while electric models come with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty for the core electric powertrain. New owners also receive two years of complimentary roadside assistance.
