Smart rolls out Apple Pay for load and bill payments starting Aug. 4

Smart Communications has launched Apple Pay for its subscribers, offering a fast, secure way to buy load and settle bills beginning August 4.

As one of the first local partners for Apple Pay in the Philippines, the service covers Smart Prepaid, TNT, Smart Postpaid, and Smart Infinity accounts. It works at all Smart Stores nationwide and through the Smart Online Store.

Users can pay with supported Apple devices like iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro after adding their eligible card to Apple Wallet. Transactions are protected by Face ID, Touch ID or passcode, and actual card details are never stored or shared with merchants.

“Smart has always been at the forefront of bringing world-class innovations to Filipinos, and we’re proud to be among the first to welcome Apple Pay here,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP and co-OIC at Smart. “We want every interaction with us to be simpler and seamless, giving subscribers an easy, secure and private way to manage their accounts.”
