AI could add $50.7B to PH economy by 2030

Artificial intelligence is projected to unlock US$50.7 billion in economic value for Philippine businesses by 2030, driving growth and competitiveness. While most firms have started using AI, 65 percent remain stuck in pilot stages due to gaps in infrastructure, system integration, and skilled talent.

Only 12 percent of local organizations build AI capabilities in-house, making partnerships between startups and established companies a faster, more practical path to scale, according to Mike Maté of Kickstart Ventures. Solutions like Featherless AI, Sprout Solutions, and ORCA by Lydia AI show how embedding AI directly into operations boosts efficiency, preserves knowledge, and speeds up decision-making. Success will depend on turning trials into widespread, meaningful use of the technology.
