Philips is repositioning home security as a lifestyle upgrade, focusing less on fear of break-ins and more on giving households control over who can enter their homes and access their valuables.
At a media event at Boudica Megatower on Tuesday, Philips launched its “Unlocking Quiet Luxury” campaign, showcasing smart locks and safe boxes that combine security, convenience, and design.
The strategy moves beyond traditional security marketing built around break-ins, physical resistance, and technical specifications. Philips is instead presenting security as an integrated part of the home, where technology simplifies access while maintaining protection.
Its smart locks offer keyless entry through facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and PIN codes. The locks automatically secure doors after closing and can be managed through a mobile app, allowing homeowners to grant or revoke access without issuing or replacing physical keys.
Philips safe boxes use quick-touch fingerprint recognition backed by PIN entry, with fireproof and anti-theft protection. Smart alerts can also send intrusion and vibration notifications directly to users’ phones.
The safe-box lineup covers household and workplace applications, extending the product range beyond traditional home storage.
Smart locks are priced from P12,000 to P88,000, while safe boxes range from P11,000 to P895,000.
The pricing puts Philips across a broad segment of the premium security market, with its latest push linking security technology to convenience, home design, and increasingly digital lifestyles.
