Unregistered agri warehouses not allowed after Dec. 31, 2026

The Department of Agriculture (DA) makes December 31, 2026 the final cutoff for all agricultural and fishery storage facilities to register. Any facility unlisted after this date will be considered non-compliant and face legal limits.

Registration runs through the Registry System for Agri Storage (RSAS), mandated under the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act. Section 6 requires warehouse, cold-storage and facility operators to sign up and keep accurate records for five years. Implementing guidelines took effect via DA Memorandum Circular No. 3 (Series of 2026).

Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. ordered full public notice to ensure all operators know and meet the deadline.

Registration is separate from inspection—nationwide checks start in 2027, staggered by region.

Operators are told to register on time or risk being flagged for suspected smuggling, hoarding or supply abuses. Registered sites will be mapped and monitored, especially for rice and imported commodities.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) said better supply data will curb artificial shortages, unfair price hikes and illegal trade—protecting local producers and keeping food costs fair.

After Dec. 31, unregistered storage will no longer be legally recognized and may face enforcement action.
