SAFC expands Northern Mindanao network

South Asialink Finance Corp. (SAFC), a non-bank financial institution, is expanding its lending presence in Northern Mindanao with four new branches, pushing its nationwide network past 100 locations as it targets rising demand for vehicle, business and property financing.

The new branches are located in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte; Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental; and Malaybalay and Valencia in Bukidnon, giving the lender a wider presence across key commercial centers in the region.

The expansion comes as Northern Mindanao’s economy grew 4.9 percent in 2025, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority, supporting activity among businesses, households and transport operators.

SAFC said its new branches will provide financing for brand-new and second-hand cars and trucks, along with loans secured by vehicle registrations and property titles. The lender also offers financing products for transport operators and women entrepreneurs.

“Our commitment is to be closer to more communities and businesses,” SAFC president and chief executive officer Maricel D. Dejongoy said. The new branches, she added, are intended to strengthen the company’s ability to understand customers’ needs and provide financing solutions.

The Northern Mindanao openings are part of eight branches SAFC added during the third quarter. The company also opened branches in Antipolo City, Rizal; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; and Paniqui and Capas in Tarlac.

With the latest additions, SAFC’s branch network now exceeds 100 locations nationwide, extending its reach beyond Metro Manila and other major urban markets.

The lender said it plans to continue expanding its branch network next year as it seeks to improve access to credit for vehicle owners, transport operators, small businesses and households.

Dejongoy said the strategy is aimed at bringing financing closer to communities where borrowers may have fewer lending options.
