Globe strengthened network services and supported student leaders at Silliman University’s Hibalag Festival 2026, keeping thousands connected while turning young ideas into real campus action.
Hibalag, meaning “coming together” in Visayan, is Silliman’s cherished Founders Day tradition that brings students, alumni and the community together to celebrate heritage and shared ties with Dumaguete.
To meet surging network demand, Globe deployed a Cellsite on Wheels at festival grounds, complementing its 40+ local sites covering about 92% of the city. With 5G service live, attendees shared moments smoothly throughout the event.
“Hibalag is central to Silliman life, and we’re proud to back this tradition with reliable links and youth opportunities,” said Jun Juada, Globe Western Visayas Business Area Head.
Through its Win The Youth program, Globe provided leadership training and grants to help students launch campus projects. Festivalgoers also enjoyed special perks: Go5G Turbo 50 data offers and free ice cream for one Rewards point via GlobeOne at the booth.
Globe’s support combined steady connectivity and real resources—ensuring the community stays linked and young leaders have what they need to lead.
