GCash, the mobile wallet of Globe Telecom Inc. trends on X, formerly Twitter, after its users complained of inability make transactions, whether sending or receiving, since the early morning hours of Monday.
“We love being stranded because of #gcash fix your broken system! Messing around with people’s money ain’t the move and it definitely ain’t cute,” X user QuintesseceBDP said.
“Y’all need to release a statement regarding this top quality bullshit,” the X user added.
“Ano na#Gcash,” X user @garciajonip said.
In an advisory to its users, Gcash acknowledged being unable to process user requests but without disclosing the reason.
“For your protection , we need to take another look at your transaction. You will temporarily be unable to send money at the moment,” it added.
Later in the day, GCash issued a statement assuring its users that their funds are safe with the app even continued to fix the downed system.
“You may be experiencing intermittent access to some of our services. Please bear with us as we’re working on getting them back up as quickly as possible,” GCash said.
“We will post another update for you soon. Meanwhile, rest assured that your funds are safe,” it said.
