    Subsidized pork in Kadiwa rolling stores could address high retail prices

    The Department of Agriculture (DA) is considering the possibility of offering subsidized pork through its Kadiwa rolling stores nationwide, as part of efforts to manage the implementation of the maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) for the meat set for March.

    DA pushes for better roads, bridges to boost food security

    Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. will seek an audience with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to discuss improving the country’s road and bridge infrastructure.     The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) aimed at enhancing the livelihood of indigenous coconut farmers. The collaboration will focus on improving the socio-economic conditions of indigenous cultural communities (ICCs) and indigenous peoples (IPs) involved in coconut farming.
