Govt work, classes in Luzon suspended Thursday due to Kristine

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said Wednesday that government work and classes across Luzon will be suspended on Thursday due to expected heavy rainfall from Severe Tropical Storm Kristine. This decision, based on recommendations from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, aims to minimize flood risks and aid in rescue operations. While private sector work is at the discretion of business owners, essential agencies must continue their operations amid the storm, whose strong winds gust up to 115 kph and extends up to 700 kilometers from the center.
