    The Department of Energy (DOE) is updating the country's small-scale coal \mining (SSCM) program, aiming to make it more structured, transparent, and environmentally responsible. The agency said the draft framework introduces clearer rules on health and safety, labor protection, environmental safeguards, and operational accountability.

    Gasoline, diesel, kerosene set for big price hike

    The various fuel retailers will raise the price of petroleum products this week, with gasoline up by P1.70 per liter, diesel by P2.70, and kerosene by P2.10. The adjustments will take effect Tuesday morning, with Seaoil, Jetti, and PTT implementing the hike at 6:00 a.m., and Caltex at 6:01 a.m.
