Smart Communications Inc. on Friday announced linking up with 171 global telecommunications companies.

Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista told the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Thursday to work beyond its traditional functions of law enforcement and revenue collection, saying the LTO must actively work to create a safe environment for all road users, including passengers, motorists, and pedestrians.
