The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is intensifying measures to safeguard the integrity of the 2025 national and local elections, driven by the urgency of emerging cybersecurity threats. Under Secretary Ivan John E. Uy, the DICT is responding to the growing risk posed by cybercriminals, emphasizing their constant evolution and creativity in bypassing safeguards.

In a move that will impact both domestic and international passengers, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has authorized airlines to impose higher fuel surcharges starting the first day of March, leading into the hot months travel season. The surcharge for both passengers and cargo will increase to "Level 5," up from last month’s "Level 4."

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has approved a fare hike for the Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), which will take effect on 2 April 2025. The tower, built by MSV Construction and Northern Builders, will address visibility issues and improve operational efficiency, particularly as air traffic volume is set to rise.

A lenient Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) on Sunday announced that major toll expressways will reinstate cashless and contactless toll collection starting March 15, 2025, in accordance with regulatory efforts to streamline traffic flow and improve toll operations.
