Shell Pilipinas Corporation (SPC) received two golden arrows from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) in late September this year in recognition of a publicly listed company (PLC) meeting the score requirements on corporate governance.
The ICD’s Golden Arrow Awards, a biennial program, celebrates PLCs for their exceptional corporate governance practices. The recognition hinges on outcomes of the ICD’s ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), a self-assessment tool enabling PLCs to gauge their corporate governance performance against international benchmarks.
The award is a testament to Shell’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and fairness in its business practices, which is aligned with the Philippine Corporate Code and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Code of Corporate Governance.
Shell Pilipinas continues to adhere to its corporate governance framework meant to protect the interests of stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, customers, and suppliers.
