    Ceb Pac takes delivery of first of 17 brand new aircraft this year

    Cebu Pacific over the weekend took delivery of a brand new aircraft strengthening its network and boosting its operational resilience this year.

    The Gokongwei-led airline said the aircraft – an Airbus 320ceo – is the first of the expected 17 aircraft deliveries. 

    “This aircraft delivery is aligned with our commitment to provide safe, accessible, and affordable flights for every Juan,”  Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer said.

    “We are excited to fly even more passengers to their chosen destinations this year made possible by our growing domestic and international network and ongoing fleet expansion efforts,” he added. 

    This year, the airline planned for a fleet count of 92. It operates one of the youngest fleets in the world with a diversified fleet mix of eight  Airbus 330s, 36 Airbus 320s, 20 Airbus 321, and 14 ATR turboprop aircraft enabling the widest domestic network.

    Cebu Pacific earlier reported net income of P5.02 billion in the first nine months, a turnaround from P12.04 billion loss in the same period last year.

    Revenue amounted to P66.89 billion, up 78 percent from P37.53 billion last year.

    Cebu Pacific carried 15.53 million passengers in the first nine months of the year, up 49 percent compared to only 10.43 million passengers in the same period last year.

    Cebu Pacific flies to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations spanning across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
