The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Wednesday assured passengers and airlines that the next phase of electrical system upgrades at the NAIA Terminal 3 is timed to minimize impact on travel.
The maintenance work begins today, 19 June up to 2 July but scheduled outside peak hours and after the last flight for the day to avoid disruptions.
The maintenance activities include several functionality tests and safety integrations into the existing system as well as termination procedures across eight different electrical substations.
MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines assured stakeholders that generator sets will supply temporary power to areas under maintenance work.
“All critical systems for continuous processing of passengers and flights will remain unhampered by the ongoing works,” the airport chief said.
