PLDT Inc. and Smart Communications Inc. on Wednesday assured customers of uninterrupted network services despite the onslaught of Typhoon Carina, except in areas experiencing power outages.
As of 11 a.m. Philippine Standard Time, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Carina PH continues to intensify with maximum sustained winds of 165 km/h and gustiness of up to 205 km/h, as it heads towards Taiwan.
“PLDT group continues to monitor the situation and has prepositioned mission-critical manpower and resources to respond to communities in need,” Cathy Yang, first vice president and Group head, Corporate Communications at PLDT and Smart, said.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions and heed the alerts and warnings of local governments and disaster response authorities.
