Sunday viewing gets even bigger as ABS-CBN and TV5 have partnered up to co-produce long-running musical variety show ASAP XP, which will now air on TV5 starting October 18. The landmark deal was sealed at a ceremonial signing held during an ASAP XP event in Pampanga, formalizing a collaboration that expands the program’s reach across more households nationwide.
The agreement was signed by ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO Cory Vidanes, and chief partnership officer Bobby Barreiro, alongside TV5 chairman Manuel Pangilinan, MediaQuest president and CEO Victorico Vargas, and TV5 officer-in-charge Chaye Cabal-Revilla.
Beginning October 18, ASAP XP will broadcast every Sunday on TV5 simultaneously with its existing airings on ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWant, and TFC. The partnership also brings added star power: alongside beloved Kapamilya performers, artists from TV5’s STAR WORX will now join the show’s lineup, creating fresh performances and exciting collaborations for viewers.
For over three decades, ASAP has been a Sunday staple for Filipino families, bringing live music, dance, and top-tier entertainment to audiences across the country. This co-production marks a meaningful alliance between two major media players, working together to bring one of the Philippines’ most-loved variety programs to even more viewers.
