After only a week of reduced fuel oil prices, the various retailers promptly push the price of oil products higher beginning Tuesday.
Caltex and Seaoil on Monday announced increasing the price per liter by P0.50 for gasoline, P0.30 for diesel and P0.70 for kerosene.
The retailer Jetti adjusted its price higher by P0.50 per liter of gasoline and P0.30 per liter of diesel.
The adjustments were blamed on fears of tighter global supply due to disruptions in Libya and to Iraqi plans to lower production output.
In Manila, the price of gasoline (RON91) stood at P56.85 per liter, P53.15 for diesel and P69.71 for kerosene as of 27 August, based on Department of Energy data.
Year-to-date adjustments of the fuel products as of the same date stand as a net increase of P6.90 per liter for gasoline and P4.05 per liter for diesel but a net decrease of P4 per liter for kerosene.
