DigiPlus Interactive Corp. announced on Thursday a strategic initiative aimed at bolstering its presence in the digital entertainment sector.
The publicly-listed company, known for its platforms BingoPlus and ArenaPlus, is launching the DigiPlus Technology Bootcamp to nurture Filipino tech talents and create products tailored for local audiences.
“Innovation is part of our DNA at DigiPlus, and we are committed to elevating the player experience with the right technology,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco. “Our R&D team is at the heart of this transformation, and we are on the lookout for the brightest Filipino tech talents to develop the next generation of products that will shape the future of DigiPlus.”
Over the past year, DigiPlus has tripled its local development team and plans to double its workforce by year’s end. Since its digital pivot in 2022, the company has invested significantly in research and technology, setting itself apart from competitors by focusing on platforms and games designed specifically for Filipino players.
The DigiPlus Technology Bootcamp is a five-month intensive program designed to equip aspiring tech professionals with essential skills, hands-on experience, and mentorship. Participants will engage in a curriculum covering core technical skills to advanced projects, utilizing the latest tools and methodologies driving innovation in digital entertainment.
DigiPlus is also actively hiring for various roles, including backend, frontend, iOS, Android, and quality assurance positions, each paired with dedicated mentors. The company’s quality assurance program is particularly notable, offering fresh graduates immediate immersion in a technical environment, allowing them to contribute to product development from day one.
DigiPlus is also recognized for its popular Perya Games, with its recent launch of Pinoy Drop Ball bringing traditional Filipino carnival-style games to digital platforms. “This fusion of cultural heritage and advanced technology reflects DigiPlus’ dedication to honoring Filipino roots while redefining digital entertainment,” the company said.
