Gov’t work, classes in Luzon suspended anew due to Kristine

Malacanang again suspended government work and classes in all levels across Luzon on Friday in the face of intense rainfall brought by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said the suspension was recommended by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council to help facilitate rescue, relief and recovery efforts. Personnel of agencies involved in the delivery of basic services and involved in disaster relief are required to report to work. Malacanang left it to the discretion of the private sector in Luzon and to LGUs in the Visayas and Mindanao to suspend work and classes.
