QuadCom: Pro-Duterte senators should inhibit from hearings

Manila Rep. and QuadCom co-chairman Benny Abante urged Senators Bato dela Rosa and Bong Go to inhibit themselves from Senate hearings on the “War on Drugs” to avoid “unduly influencing” the investigation’s outcome. Abante said the presence of the two senators has allowed former President Rodrigo Duterte to “gaslight the nation by justifying acts that led to thousands of deaths. This was not a hearing in the service of truth; it was a forum for denial, for allowing him (Duterte) to rationalize the indefensible,” he added.
