    GCash offers grace period for borrowers affected by Kristine

    GCash credit arm Fuse Lending on Wednesday announced a one-month grace period for borrowers affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine. The extension applies to GLoan and GGives repayments for users in storm-hit areas across Regions V, VIII, XII, and CALABARZON.

    Affected towns in CALABARZON include several in Quezon, Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna. Region V covers all towns in Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and San Fernando, Masbate. In Region VIII, specific towns in Eastern Samar and Calbayog in Samar are included, while Region XII offers relief to Magpet in Cotabato.

    Loan repayments due from 16 October to 7 November will automatically be extended by one month. “We stand with the communities affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine and are committed to helping them rebuild their lives,” said Tony Isidro, president and CEO of Fuse Lending.

    GCash is also raising funds for its various NGOs helping in the recovery efforts. Users may donate directly through the app, with transaction fees waived for contributions to organizations such as the Philippine Red Cross and UNICEF.
