BSP warns of fraudulent group using its name to solicit funds

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Tuesday issued a warning regarding a group named “12 Stars Sunflower Holding Corporation” and its alleged leader, “Princess Jonah A. Seneca,” who are reportedly using the BSP’s name to solicit money from the public. The group falsely promises individuals a share of funds deposited in a bank account, misleading them into sending money.

In a statement, the BSP clarified that it has no affiliation with “12 Stars Sunflower Holding Corporation” or Ms. Seneca, stressing that it does not offer, maintain, or hold deposit accounts for private individuals. The central bank further advised the public to exercise caution and avoid sending money to unverified accounts or engaging with individuals or entities falsely claiming to represent the BSP.

To protect against such fraudulent schemes, the BSP urged the public to verify any claims or communications that appear suspicious. The public is encouraged to report such activities to the BSP directly through the following contact details:

    Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
Address: A. Mabini St. cor. P. Ocampo St., Malate, Manila, Philippines
    Contact Number: (+632) 8811-1277 or 8811-1BSP
