PLDT Enterprise, in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), recently hosted MSME Day Pampanga, bringing together over 120 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) from the region. The event focused on empowering businesses with the digital tools necessary for growth and innovation, furthering PLDT Enterprise’s commitment to supporting MSMEs across the Philippines.
MSME Day Pampanga, part of a nationwide series that has already visited Iloilo City and Dipolog City, highlighted four key pillars for business success: access to technology, access to finance, access to market, and access to upskilling. Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to engage with industry experts, explore the latest digital solutions, and network with peers.
PLDT Enterprise’s vice president, Jay Lagdameo, underscored the importance of MSMEs as critical drivers of economic growth in the Philippines. “Our commitment to empowering the MSME sector goes beyond providing digital solutions,” Lagdameo said. “We are dedicated to connecting with MSMEs across the country and ensuring they thrive in an increasingly digital world.”
The event also featured inspiring success stories from local businesses such as Razon’s by Glenn, L.A. Bakeshop, Macabebest, and Makimura Ramen Bar. These businesses shared their journeys of resilience and the transformative impact of digital tools on their operations.
Razon’s by Glenn, known for its Kapampangan delicacies, spoke about the importance of perseverance and innovation in entrepreneurship. “The journey is all about continuously learning, adapting, and creating a meaningful impact,” said CEO Mark Anthony “Glenn” Razon Carreon.
Similarly, Jonathan Yanga of Macabebest emphasized the value of building meaningful partnerships and staying open to learning. “Trust the process,” he encouraged fellow entrepreneurs.
The event also highlighted PLDT Enterprise’s role in supporting MSMEs through broadband solutions, enabling businesses to expand their reach and maintain operational efficiency.
With the continued success of MSME Day Pampanga, PLDT Enterprise is reinforcing its role as a key partner in the digital transformation of businesses across the Philippines, aligning its initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to foster economic growth, innovation, and inclusion.
