INAEC achieves IS-BAH Stage 2 certification, boosting Philippine aviation safety standards

INAEC Aviation Corporation became the first Philippine ground-handling service provider in December last year to achieve the prestigious Stage 2 IS-BAH certification, awarded by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). The certification recognizes INAEC’s commitment to international best practices in safety management for ground-handling and fixed-base operations, marking a significant milestone for the company and the Philippine aviation sector.

The IS-BAH (International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling) certification, developed by IBAC, establishes rigorous safety standards for ground-handling providers worldwide. Stage 2 signifies that INAEC’s safety protocols and risk management processes meet the highest industry benchmarks, covering critical operations such as aircraft marshalling, fueling, catering, and passenger services.

The certification followed an extensive audit in October 2024 by Jorge Roberto Lopez, an accredited IS-BAH auditor, who praised INAEC for its strong safety culture and proactive hazard reporting system. “INAEC’s dedication to safety is evident across all levels of the organization,” said Lopez.

This achievement not only elevates INAEC’s operational safety but also enhances the Philippines’ competitiveness as a global aviation hub. The company is scheduled for its Stage 3 IS-BAH audit in 2026, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to excellence in aviation safety.
