BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO) and Japan’s Seven Bank have solidified their partnership, offering more convenience and reliability to overseas Filipinos sending money home. First announced in 2017, the collaboration has grown over the years, benefiting both institutions and their customers. The alliance provides 24/7 remittance services via Seven Bank’s international money transfer app and an extensive ATM network of 27,000 locations across Japan.
Genie T. Gloria, senior vice president of BDO, highlighted the convenience of this service, especially for Filipino workers in Japan with tight schedules. Seven Bank president, Masaaki Matsuhashi praised BDO for its customer-focused approach, emphasizing the reliability and trust Filipinos have in both brands.
With a growing reach, the partnership has expanded beyond Tokyo, benefiting Filipinos nationwide. BDO’s unmatched digital and physical presence, including over 5,700 ATMs and 14,000+ cash pick-up points in the Philippines, ensures fast, secure transactions for families back home.
The positive collaboration continues to cater to the substantial Filipino remittance market, which saw a record USD37.2 billion in 2023, solidifying its role in Asia’s financial landscape.
