GSIS strengthens ties with retired educators

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has deepened its collaboration with the Philippine Alliance of Retired Educators (PARE) during a meeting with the group’s Mindanao chapter members. This follows a productive discussion with the PARE board of trustees.

GSIS president and general manager, Wick Veloso, presented key updates on the pension fund’s services, investment performance, and risk management protocols. Veloso emphasized GSIS’s ongoing commitment to transparency, building on the strong foundation laid by earlier meetings with PARE leadership.

A key feature of the partnership is the establishment of a joint speakers’ bureau, aimed at combating misinformation and facilitating a structured channel for retirees to raise inquiries. This initiative underscores the influence retired educators hold in their communities, with PARE members serving as trusted ambassadors of information.

The program is set to launch in the first quarter of this year, with capacity-building sessions to ensure PARE representatives are equipped with the latest information on GSIS services. This collaborative effort promises to strengthen communication and engagement among retirees across the region.
