DFNN Inc., a leading technology and gaming company, announced rolling out as many as 6,000 handheld betting devices, known as LottoMatik, by next year. The deployment will significantly increase the number of lottery agents in the country, doubling the current 6,400 traditional agents of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The LottoMatik, which launched in November 2024, allows individuals to become lotto agents with a lower initial investment of just P50,000, compared to the P300,000 to P500,000 required for traditional outlets. The device includes everything needed to operate, including the machine, marketing materials, and a required PCSO bond.
DFNN executive chairman, Ramon C. Garcia Jr., said the LottoMatik simplifies the process of starting a lotto business, particularly in remote areas where it’s difficult to set up traditional terminals. The device operates like a smartphone, compressing data for transmission even in areas with weak signals.
LottoMatik’s introduction is already seeing significant impact on sales, with PCSO recording record-high lottery revenue each week since its launch. According to PCSO general manager, Melquiades Robles, the rollout not only enhances access to legal lottery outlets but also helps combat illegal gambling by making official participation more widespread.
DFNN’s commercial push is poised to boost the company’s market reach, especially as LottoMatik can operate even in remote areas via mobile data or Starlink satellite services. With plans to increase agent numbers, the company expects to play a pivotal role in the growth of PCSO’s lottery sales while supporting community welfare initiatives across the country.
