BDO supports green logistics with financing for Mober’s EV fleet expansion

BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) is making a significant impact on sustainability by financing the acquisition of 60 electric vehicles (EV) for Mober, a pioneer in green logistics. This will not only help expand Mober’s operations but also support the growth of eco-friendly business practices that align with the global push for environmental responsibility.

Through this partnership, BDO strengthens its commitment to sustainable development and economic progress. “BDO supports our fleet expansion, allowing us to take a significant step toward building a more sustainable logistics industry,” said Dennis Ng, Mober chief executive officer. Charles M. Rodriguez, executive vice president at BDO, emphasized the bank’s role in helping businesses transition to greener futures, contributing to a cleaner, more resilient economy.

The acquisition also coincides with Mober’s launch of Central Charge, the country’s largest commercial EV charging facility, located in Pasay City. The state-of-the-art hub is capable of charging up to 200 EV trucks daily, enabling Mober to provide efficient and sustainable logistics services for major clients like Ikea and Nestle Philippines. With this infrastructure in place, Mober is positioning the Philippines as a leader in sustainable logistics.

BDO’s financing of Mober’s fleet expansion underscores the Bank’s dedication to supporting green technologies, advancing electric mobility, and fostering environmentally conscious business practices.
