PAL expands Vietnam network with new Manila-Da Nang nonstop flights

The Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to further solidify its presence in Vietnam with the launch of nonstop flights between Manila and Da Nang starting 1 July 2025. This marks PAL’s third significant expansion in Vietnam this year, following the recent upgrade of its Manila-Hanoi route to daily service and the upcoming Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City flights set to begin on 2 May.

Capt. Stanley K. Ng, PAL president and chief operating officer, emphasized the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity between the Philippines and Vietnam, noting, “We are excited to strengthen our close relationship with the Vietnamese people through these new direct flights. PAL continues to foster greater tourism and commerce between our nations, especially between Manila and the central Vietnamese heartland.”

Da Nang, a dynamic coastal city rich in history and modern attractions, serves as a strategic gateway for business and leisure travelers. Its proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Hoi An, My Son, and the Imperial City of Hue, positions the city as an appealing destination for both tourists and corporate visitors alike.

The new service, operated on Airbus A321 aircraft, will offer convenient daytime flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Passengers can choose from Business and Economy Class options, with the Airbus A321 accommodating up to 199 travelers. This service complements PAL’s existing operations, which include eight weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City and the daily Manila-Hanoi route.

By expanding its Vietnam network, PAL is poised to strengthen its position as a key player in the region’s growing travel and trade sectors, providing more efficient links between the Philippines and Vietnam’s bustling cities.
