San Miguel Corp. (SMC) received two major accolades at the 2025 Global Good Governance (3G) Awards held in Brunei, further reinforcing its reputation as a corporate leader in sustainability and social responsibility.
The Philippine conglomerate was awarded the “3G Leadership Award in CSR 2025” and the “3G Best Sustainability Reporting 2025” by UK-based Cambridge International Finance Advisory (Cambridge IFA), which organizes the annual awards to spotlight excellence in transparency, governance, and environmental and social performance.
The recognition comes after a rigorous selection process involving research and evaluation by experts from the government, academia, and private sectors. The 3G Awards, now in its 10th year, are known for upholding stringent standards in assessing nominees worldwide.
“This is an honor. As a company, we’ve strived not only to grow in scale but to serve a greater purpose — to be a force for good and help in nation-building,” said SMC chairman and president Ramon S. Ang.
The dual citations highlight San Miguel’s commitment to embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its long-term corporate strategy — a move increasingly critical to both global investors and stakeholders. The CSR award recognizes SMC’s high-impact, community-focused initiatives, while the sustainability reporting award honors its comprehensive disclosure and integration of ESG performance into its business model.
These achievements bolster San Miguel’s standing among international peers and signal its ongoing drive to align commercial growth with responsible corporate citizenship.
