    Chowking: Forty Years, Forty Wins, Full Circle

    Chowking didn’t just celebrate its 40th birthday—it practically threw a victory parade, marching into its milestone year with 40 major awards from the country’s most respected marketing, creative, digital, and industry organizations. If anniversaries had mic drops, this would be one.

    “These awards are a celebration of our people, our partners, and the millions of consumers who continue to choose Chowking,” said Jia Du, marketing head of Chowking. “They affirm that Sarap Mag-Chow remains a powerful part of Filipino life and inspire us to keep innovating for the next generation.” 

    In other words: four decades in, and the halo-halo still hits.

    Chowking president Ken Lingan said the brand’s staying power comes from being both comfortingly familiar and constantly evolving. 

    “Being honored with 40 awards on our 40th year is a powerful testament to our commitment to excellence and to our vision of becoming the world’s most loved Chinese quick-service restaurant brand,” he noted—proof that consistency can be just as bold as innovation.

    And what a haul it was. Chowking snagged Marketing Team of the Year twice—because apparently once wasn’t enough—via the Marketing Excellence Awards and the NEXT Awards. It brought home 10 Quill Awards, 14 innovation trophies from the NEXT Awards, and multiple PANATA Awards that tipped their hats to creativity and market effectiveness. Grab, Kantar, and FoodPanda also chimed in with top citations, signaling strong consumer love and cultural impact.

    To top it all off, the QSR Media Awards honored Chowking for Best Restaurant Renovation and Best Digital Initiative—because even a 40-year-old icon can still glow up.

    With four decades and forty trophies behind it, Chowking isn’t just celebrating a milestone—it’s warming up for the next course.
