Ayala’s ACMobility is spurring northern travel as it plugs Camp John Hay into the country’s fast-growing electric vehicle network.
The Ayala Group’s mobility arm—now the Philippines’ leading EV charging provider—has teamed up with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) to expand charging infrastructure across one of Baguio City’s most visited destinations.
Three hubs have gone live across the mountain enclave: the Garden Wing, the Public Parking Area, and the Golf Club. Together, they add eight new charge points, including the city’s lone DC Fast Charger—giving holiday travelers a welcome confidence boost as more Filipinos take EVs on long drives.
These installations build on the existing charger at the Camp John Hay Technohub, with several more AC and DC units slated to power up in the coming months.
The Garden Wing leads the charge with a 60kW DC Fast Charger capable of energizing vehicles in as fast as 30 minutes, alongside two 22kW AC chargers. The Public Parking Area adds two 22kW chargers, while the Golf Club introduces two 7kW units suited for longer stops.
All stations operate through ACMobility’s Evro app, which lets users locate chargers, check availability, initiate charging, and pay seamlessly—an essential feature as EV adoption scales.
“This partnership marks a key milestone in Camp John Hay’s pursuit of sustainable and eco-friendly tourism,” said BCDA president and chief executive officer Joshua M. Bingcang. He noted that robust charging options in such a strategic location advance both visitor convenience and broader national sustainability goals.
ACMobility is gearing up for a major expansion wave heading into 2026 as it pushes forward with its vision of a Philippine EV Spine—a fully connected charging network running across cities and provinces.
“This year, we are accelerating the rollout of our nationwide EV network,” said Carla Buencamino, head of Mobility Infrastructure.
By widening its footprint and deepening partnerships, ACMobility aims to make clean, electrified travel an everyday reality for Filipino motorists.
