BYD is charging into the Philippines’ luxury electric vehicle (EV) market with the official launch of its premium brand, DENZA.
The move marks a strategic push by BYD Philippines Corp.—the local arm of the global electrification giant—in partnership with AC Motors, the automotive unit of Ayala Corp., to expand beyond the mass-market segment.
DENZA promises a premium portfolio that merges cutting-edge electrification technology with executive-level comfort and meticulous craftsmanship. The brand leverages BYD’s global vehicle platforms to balance high-output performance with efficiency and sustainability, signaling a deliberate focus on intelligent, passenger-centric design.
“The future of premium mobility isn’t defined by excess — it’s defined by intelligence. Technology now drives elegance,” said Adam Hu, country head of BYD and DENZA Philippines. “At DENZA, new energy vehicles let us rethink how power, comfort, and sustainability can coexist thoughtfully.”
The official launch is slated for the first quarter of 2026, with DENZA’s initial model lineup set to debut across key Philippine locations, including Makati, Alabang, Greenhills, and Cebu. The rollout will introduce the brand to Filipino consumers and lay the foundation for a wider expansion of premium EV offerings in the country.
Hu emphasized that DENZA represents more than vehicles—it embodies a long-term vision for premium mobility. “We aim for innovation that serves the driver, sustainability that integrates seamlessly, and vehicles that reflect a smarter way forward,” he said.
With DENZA, BYD Philippines is positioning itself to compete at the upper end of the EV market, blending global expertise with localized access. As the luxury EV segment in the Philippines heats up, DENZA’s debut could redefine what premium, sustainable driving means for Filipino consumers.
