EEI lands P1.6B project boost

Construction heavyweight EEI Corp. kicked off 2026 on solid footing after securing major real estate contracts worth a combined P1.6 billion in the first two months of the year.

The early wins signal a strong pipeline for the listed engineering and construction firm and bring it closer to hitting its 2026 order book targets. The projects also deepen EEI’s footprint in the fast-growing residential and hospitality segments outside Metro Manila.

EEI President and Chief Executive Officer Henry D. Antonio said the new contracts underscore the company’s strategy to diversify geographically and strengthen its role in building sustainable communities nationwide.

“This is a positive development to start 2026. With these residential and hospitality projects, we push our diversified portfolio further to regional markets and expand our capabilities to build sustainable communities throughout the country,” Antonio said. He added that the projects will generate jobs while supporting developers in delivering innovative living spaces.

Among the key contracts is the construction of Crown Residences and Crest Suites for Torre Lorenzo Development Corop., both located in Tierra Davao.

Crown Residences will rise as a 21-storey residential tower featuring 322 units and expansive wellness amenities. Crest Suites, also 21 storeys, will combine hospitality and residential components, with 16 floors dedicated to condominium-hotel units and three floors allocated for residential condominiums, totaling 260 units.

The twin developments highlight Davao’s emergence as a regional growth hub, as developers continue to chase demand beyond the capital.

With a growing roster of projects across sectors, EEI expects steady financial performance this year, banking on strong partnerships and sustained demand in real estate construction.

The current year is shaping up not just as a busy year for EEI, but a decisive one.
