Ortigas Land Corporation has partnered with Advent Upgrade Solar Inc. (AUSI), a joint venture of Aboitiz Power Distributed Renewables, Inc. and Upgrade Energy Philippines, to install a 1,587.20 kilowatt-peak solar power system for GH Mall.
The project is covered by a 20-year power purchase agreement, which will supply renewable energy to the mall while helping reduce operating costs and improve energy security.
Ortigas Land said the move supports its goal of making its developments more sustainable and community-focused, especially as it marks its 95th year. The company added that the project is meant to improve the long-term experience of tenants and shoppers at GH Mall.
AUSI said the long-term agreement will help support the mall’s sustainable growth by providing reliable solar energy and improving efficiency. It added that the project also aims to enhance everyday experiences for mall visitors.
AUSI develops and operates solar energy systems for large commercial and industrial clients.
