Local electricity supplier Rockport Power Inc. has partnered with Filipino manufacturer King Global Sanitary Products to supply energy for its operations.
The companies said the partnership has helped King Global reduce its electricity costs by about 30 percent. The savings will be used to purchase new, more efficient production equipment. Details such as electricity rates and supply volume were not disclosed.
King Global president Ryan Tan said the cost savings will allow the company to invest in better machinery, keep product prices stable, and support its workforce.
The company operates nationwide with over 200 employees and facilities in Laguna, Davao, and Cebu, producing paper products and sanitary kits.
King Global added that the deal is expected to improve production speed and ensure a steady supply of goods to retailers, hotels, and households.
Meanwhile, Marvee Espejo said the company aims to help businesses lower energy costs and improve efficiency. He added that Rockport also offers energy audits to identify areas where companies can further reduce electricity use.
