Ambassador ENDO Kazuya has highlighted the growing opportunities for infrastructure development in the Philippines, particularly through public-private partnerships (PPP), during the Japan-Philippines Business Dialogue on Infrastructure and PPP Opportunities.
The event, which brought together government officials and business leaders, was also attended by the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, MORI Masafumi.
In his remarks, Endo pointed to the strong and ongoing collaboration between Japan and the Philippines, especially in infrastructure projects. He emphasized that the Philippines continues to offer significant opportunities for investment, with PPP projects seen as a key driver of growth.
The ambassador encouraged Japanese firms to take an active role in these initiatives, noting that deeper participation could help accelerate infrastructure development while strengthening economic ties between the two countries. He added that closer cooperation between Japanese and Filipino partners would support long-term, sustainable growth.
The dialogue underscored increasing interest from Japanese companies in the Philippine infrastructure sector, as the government continues to promote PPPs to modernize transport, energy, and other critical systems.
