RCBC Wealth Management Group is intensifying its push into the country’s fast-growing next-generation wealth market after being named Best Private Bank for Next Generation Clients at the 2026 Euromoney Private Banking Awards, reflecting a broader industry shift toward younger, digitally driven investors expected to reshape Philippine private banking.
The recognition comes as local banks increasingly compete for the attention of heirs, entrepreneurs and young professionals poised to inherit and expand family wealth over the next decade.
Industry analysts said the transition marks a structural shift in wealth management, where digital engagement, sustainability and legacy planning are becoming as important as investment returns.
RCBC said its “NextGen” segment now accounts for 52 percent of its client base after growing 29 percent year-on-year as of December 2025. The segment also contributes 41 percent of the bank’s total assets under management, with further expansion projected this year.
The figures suggest that younger clients are no longer merely an emerging demographic but are becoming a core revenue and growth driver for private banks.
“We are not just managing wealth; we are bridging generations,” said Jacqueline Wieneke, head of RCBC Wealth Management Group. “We will continue to innovate and provide a digital and advisory experience that resonates with the ambition, innovation and legacy-building of the next generation.”
banks able to build relationships early with future wealth holders may gain a long-term competitive advantage, especially as intergenerational wealth transfers accelerate across Asia.
RCBC has been expanding initiatives aimed at younger clients, including the NextGen Wealth Summit launched in 2025, which focuses on wealth stewardship, succession planning and long-term investing for emerging business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The bank said it plans to broaden the program through curated networking events and enhanced advisory services tailored for tech-savvy and purpose-driven clients.
The Euromoney Private Banking Awards are considered among the industry’s most respected global benchmarks, recognizing institutions for innovation, client service and leadership in wealth management.
