Philippine Airlines (PAL) has enhanced its frequent flyer partnership with Qantas Airways, letting members of both programs redeem points or miles for flights across each other’s networks.
Under the deal, PAL’s Mabuhay Miles members can use miles to book on Qantas routes, including Australian destinations like Adelaide, Hobart, Byron Bay, and Cairns. In return, Qantas Frequent Flyer members now have access to PAL’s routes covering the Philippines and Southeast Asia — adding 15 new destinations not previously available to Qantas members.
This is the fourth global collaboration for Mabuhay Miles. PAL President Richard Nuttall said the move gives members more value and flexibility, while Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance noted it opens up popular spots such as Boracay and El Nido for travelers from Australia.
PAL flies regularly between Manila and Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane, with daily services to Sydney and Brisbane, five weekly flights to Melbourne, and three to Perth.
