Citycare Property streamlines HR operations with Boomi, cuts onboarding time and boosts satisfaction

Data activation firm Boomi announced that New Zealand-based social infrastructure provider Citycare Property has modernized its HR and employee management systems using the Boomi Enterprise Platform, delivered with support from partner Adaptiv. The project has delivered faster onboarding, better data accuracy, and higher employee satisfaction, while creating a scalable foundation for future growth.

Citycare Property builds, maintains, and operates essential public infrastructure across New Zealand. As the business grew, it sought to upgrade HR processes after rolling out a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The key need was to connect HR, payroll, and IT systems, create a single view of the workforce, ensure data security and integrity, and eliminate manual workarounds that caused delays and errors. Previously, onboarding new hires took days, and process visibility was limited.

Adaptiv deployed Boomi’s Data Hub and integration tools to link all systems and synchronize employee data automatically. All updates — including hiring, role changes, and offboarding — are now reflected consistently across platforms, with no disruption to daily work. The setup is designed so new systems can be added later with minimal extra effort.

As a result, new hires are activated across all systems much faster, significantly cutting onboarding timelines. Data quality has improved, and manual adjustments and workarounds that once created inconsistencies have been eliminated. HR processes are now smoother and more reliable, directly contributing to higher employee satisfaction, while management has gained full, real-time visibility into workforce status and workflows.

Adam Doocey, CIO of Citycare Property, noted, “Boomi has given us visibility we never had before. We’ve cut the time to get new hires active across systems and fixed data issues that used to require manual fixes.” Philip Durrant, principal consultant at Adaptiv, added, “Boomi let us put employees at the center, balancing immediate needs with flexibility for future growth.” David Irecki, CTO for APJ at Boomi, stated, “This project shows that employee-focused integration delivers real, measurable benefits and a solid data foundation for smooth operations.”

This deployment demonstrates how cloud-based integration and master data management can transform back-office operations for service and infrastructure organizations. It highlights how connecting disparate systems reduces administrative burden, improves compliance through better data control, and directly enhances employee experience — all while supporting long-term scalability and business expansion.
